Movilla Cemetery Historical Tour

This historical walking tour takes you on a time travelling adventure, meeting characters from across the centuries who will tell you their stories, such as the destitute living in the workhouse, hear about 1798 Rebellion and meet local hero Blair Mayne. This tour of Movilla Cemetery will leave you surprised and wanting to know more.

Tales of Down - Storytelling
North Down Museum, Bangor Castle

Valhalla Street Theatre welcome you to experience Tales of Down in the beautiful surroundings of the Courtyard at North Down Museum.
Meet local characters such as Betsy Gray and Jenny Watts and hear tales of the local area and its people all brought to life through animated storytelling.
Traditional Ropemakers will demonstrate how ropes are made and explain what an important commodity ropes were in the past and try your hand at a traditional pole lathe. A highlight of the event will be Andrew Davidson's composition of music to accompany the traditional ballad of Betsy Gray.
There will be fun for all the family with a dressing up box and some traditional games, such as hoops, skipping ropes and juggling balls.
